Dear Me Me, I remember those days of forced bussing, threats and realities of physical violence, and can only imagine the terror experienced by the children involved being forced to attend schools across towns and cities to neighborhoods not their own. Your poignant poem captures the angst of a child in this dire circumstance with soulful finesse. “I’m not a hero, I’m just a little girl” is an emotional gut punch. Impactful poetry. Warmest wishes, dear poet.. ~Susan
