Still

I have trusted you for 10 years,   
And I thought you were the best.
You were with me throughout my races,
Who keeps me safe, and gives confidence…

There is a certain period in the month  
That is really intended for us.
We have a unique bonding,
That I know someday soon will end and will never last…

I always carry you in my thoughts before I leave the country.    
I have to find time to see you, 
And take you with me every time I go back to my sanctuary.
With you I have nothing to worry.

But suddenly,   
You broke my heart and shames me at my weakest part,
I thought we were just fine, that’s why I didn’t mind.
But don’t worry, I still have a heart for you, I still like you,
For one shame is nothing compared to our years of bonding…

A decade of togetherness is something to keep…
I would still choose to keep you, rather than leave… 
I have a bunch of reasons to still like you,
Even though I have the choice to let you go, 
……………..
For me, you’re still the best I ever had.
