Sparrow's Fall
Mother sparrow fell down my chimney.
Kept quiet on a quiet bedroom floor.
Baby sparrow, clung to screen door.
Sat on the black metal front light.
Then took flight, and mother died.
No one cried. Such is life, death.
Baby sparrow will find new mother.
Sorrowful song, midnight moon glows.
Sparrow comes often and then goes.
Off to perch, eat, fly, and have a life.
Wonder at times, what will be the story.
Sparrow not eagle, whom gets the glory.
