Your beauty is like the azure skies,
The moon in the sapphire night,
The whisper of dawn in the thoughts,
The wondrous stars, glimmering hope
Inspiring my spirit, my very being…
To hear the restful way you approach
This peaceful dream, sweet tranquility
Your comforting touch, like intimacy’s
Brush – washing away all the fear,
Reminding me that joy is so near –
Inside my mind, you inspire the light
To sing through the spirit, erasing
All the darkness, purifying the promise
Calm that is like a presence, peaceful
Resting in the gesture of your breathless
Stroke of quiet familiarity – tenderly
Your embrace feels like the gentle of home,
Arising in your blankets, kissing my heart
Through your pillows and protecting me from
Doubting your amazing ability to reassure,
Inviting me to feel the relief of your coziness,
This contentment is what makes me sleep –
Like a baby, cuddled in the warmth of sheets
Meant to silence my worries and ease every burden
With the solace of knowing you, the cradle – the
Comfort – the bed of my dreams, my welcome…
To the dreamy place where I find gentle soothing,
Forever gentling away the pain, hushing the rain
Breathing joy through my veins – in slumber, I always
Remember your name, Bed, as I fade into oblivion!
