Shiny Penny

I am a shiny penny just minted, brand-new You'll find me in pockets of shoppers like you My value's dropped as some've stopped carrying cash at all; now as passe as 'cruising the mall' But there still is one place where I can yet shine -- on the innocent face of a kid under nine He likes that I'm shiny A quarter's often not So find me that kid 'fore my copper grow spots!

I like this one a lot, Gershon. Some large lessons on life have come to me from objects much smaller than myself. Your child and the shinny penny are perfect examples. Blessings my friend!

A very sharp comment, Joe. Seriously, the great ones pay attention to the smallest things. Thanks, Gershon

It is a pleasure to think of you being left along a sidewalk for a five-year-old to find!

Hahahahaha!... What am I laughing about? As Fagan put it in 'Oliver Twist' -- You gotta pick a pocket or two... You gotta swipe a copper or two! ~ Artful Dodger
