Sea Glass

The world used to be so clear, Straight forward and cutting edge, Unique and vibrant, Simple. As time rolled on and wave after wave passed, As the terrain dulled my edges, Hazened the colors I used to strictly follow, I tumbled and fell, Went with the current, Cried and yelled, I realized I was no longer who I once was, However I dont dispize who I am now, I understand why I am this way, When I washed up on the blazing shore, I found a bit of value once more.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed. (Is it really dispize or actually despise?)

I like this nicely written poem about starting out one thing, and then as life shapes us, we are different, but find new usefulness. BTW, I think you meant "despise" and not "dispize", did you not?
