School
In a prison everyday till graduation
Controlling the mind
Teaching you what to believe
Squeezing
Shaped into a mold
No say in what you learn
Forced to think in like-mindedness
Brainwashed
Pushed out into the world
To sift through life's problems
On your own
In today's society
The foundation is shifting
Slowly fading away
From Biblical truth
To human nature's carnal reasoning
No more a steady beginning
But now
Shaking on the edge
Peer-pressure pushing all around you
Feeling embarrassment
When you don't know the correct answer
The desire to fit in
So strong you can almost taste it
Caught in the middle
Of an unseen battle
Fighting for the right to your soul
To know
Your self-worth in Christ
Your worth is not measured
By where you buy your clothes,
Who you hung out with,
Or how awesome you rocked the court
Don't base your value
On who you are in school
But fully, only on God's opinion
Which is
The most important of all
