Your golden sun will shine for me."

Listen to poem:
You'll find a heart there Somewhere On a cable car seat Or placed on a stair In my careless despair You'd think I don't care Or my forgetfulness But au contraire My love was safe In pocket deep No chance to slip Or deftly creep But golden glow Of sunshine light Enticed a peek Horizon bright Inviting heart To take a flight No plan Rough sketched Heart's wings Outstretched I suppose I'm writing Just to warn ya Hold tight to love In California

So kind.. I hope it has legs. Sometimes we just go with these things and they work or they.. get pushed around in a pram for a while or worse a commode :) Value your feedback of course oh Silent One.

Your poem had a nice rhythm to it. You let the words flow and let the rhyme go wherever it wants to go. Very free writing, Sam. Have a great week, my friend. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Bill - always great to hear from you. I was inspired by listening to an old Tony Bennett song with a lovely line "To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars". Thanks for stopping by and encouraging :)

This is so beautiful! I love this, How seamlessly this flows and the way you’ve started reminded me of the times i had to literally get on cable cars, not a fan but had to: and i love the depth of this write, how heartfelt it is and touching. “My love was safe in pocket deep” that line speaks volumes for me: always a pleasure reading u sam! Amazing
