Remember Where You Came From
Your way was long and your road was rough
You made it somehow though your life was tough
Since you were not alone as a small beginner
These important people you should remember
Remember your family and your blessed birth
Don't forget all their love and all they're worth
Remember their support and their belief in you
Don't forget their sacrifice that helped you through
Remember willing friends' empathy
Don't forget their comfort and their sympathy
Remember their gifts and all their loans
Don't forget they welcomed you into their homes
Remember the Lord who should always be first
Don't forget that He fed you and quenched your thirst
Remember He sustained you and took you in
Don't forget that He gave you those family and friends
And remember who you are as in your beginning
Don't forget to stay humble and gracious in giving
Remember equity should be your inference
Don't forget your success is to make a difference
Surely it's true that your beginning was small
But you obtained your goal though some despised it all
For you were upheld by the strength of your loved ones
So always remember where you came from
