Rejoicing in the Resurrection
Rejoice my soul, for Christ who died,
rose from the grave, wounding death’s pride.
Because He lives, I need not fear
my final journey on the bier.
If I live for Christ and die in Him,
my future is no longer grim.
He promised to return for me
So, I can forever with Him be.
When Christ returns, the trump will sound,
dead saints will be raised from the ground
and with the living, they shall rise
to meet their Savior in the skies.
Rejoice my soul and take delight
In Christ who is thy life and light.
Because He lives, I too shall live,
the life eternal which He shall give.
