Reflection of Grief

Silence Uncomfortable Eerie in heaviness Weighted in screams Echos through the halls with Grief Overwhelming Bitter with guilt Chased by memories Ladens every minute of Life Effervecent Fragile in nature Lived to the fullest Snuffed in a blink by Death Ungracious Fickle harvester of life Feared by survivors Brings eternity through Faith Everpresent Balm to the spirit Unshaken by tragedy Gives peace to those left behind (This is an older write that I wrote after a student was killed in an accident several years ago. Our school had another tragedy when a student collapsed from a brain aneurysm in class this week, and was taken off life support the next day_10/2. This still fits better than anything new I could have written. Thank you Emily for leaving your Faith as a beacon for others.)

So sad Jan. I can't fathom one of my children taken before me. Beautifully written.

I cannot either, Tim. She was an only child, and I really can't fathom it. It's just a sadness.
