Redemption
Raw as the wood that built The Ark,
Wine expressed tears burn like bark,
Yet carries one through the vicious dark.
The pride that surrounded,
Yet numbed by the fruit,
Left naked with fear ... over the Truth.
Then change stirred the mind,
Through blood, sweat and tears,
With knees in the sand
And dirt on one's hands.
Redemption is real,
And will wash away fears.
Though one stumbles and falls,
It's time to withdraw,
And time will reveal
The confusion and heal.
Giving birth to new beginnings
Through Forgiveness and Thanksgiving.
