Quiet The Storm

The sun burst through the flaming sky, burning the clouds with fire originated from the south, hundreds of anxious people gather in the street and watch the wilderness as it burns; the fire spreads quickly through the trees, burning them to the ground sending black smoke and flame around the town. I thought that Jesus was coming back, when the fire burnt all the way through the giant rocks and reality greeted me with a shock. The preacher man was suddenly kicked off the air for deceiving the vulnerable people with religious mockery and fear. He called it the judgment day when mankind will burn for the sin they perpetrated with time, and people will be scattered all over the world looking for their lost shoes. Charred bodies will line the street, and the villain that comes out alive will lost his mind and their ashes will pile up in the bushes and the wind will carry the smell of death through the town. I could not bear to listen to the premonition so I hum a powerful song to drown out the external sound and appease my mind with a healthy vibe. They travel more than two thousand miles to listen to the universe cry and to stone the devil that resides on top of the mountain. Thousands and thousands of them dressed in white robes waving banners towards the heaven and falling on their faces calling upon their deity in strange voices that could be heard from a distance. Hundreds lie dead in the street from heat and exhaustion, and heaven watch dusty feet stumbled and trampled over dead bodies and the people could not find time to weep. The heat is raging in the street and the people are perishing under the sky and the universe suddenly pulled out a fountain from the utmost part of the heaven and quiet the storm and the earth gave birth to a brand new desire.
