Poetic Mediocrity

I wish I was a Poet, but my tools are far and few, if you could just read them, you would know its true. My rhymes they don't flow easy, my rhythms sometimes flat, I am not a poet, its as simple as that. I read from other poets, the answer's plain to see, my mediocre talents, are not real poetry. I try my best to hide it, my real identity, that I am not a poet, in this world of poetry!

I remember when I first started writing poetry 7 years ago, I didn't consider myself a poet either. It took me about a year and a half before I admitted I was a poet. I personally think you are a good writer already, just keep reading others and developing your own style. I look forward to reading more of yours. Welcome to PS! John

Oh, methinks you are a 'sneaky one,' Beverly. Your understated style is a tip-off. Looking forward to more and more mediocrity from you. ~ Mr. JPA = Just Plain Average

Thank you again Mr. Wolf, I appreciate your ability to still see artistry in my simplicity.

All "artisans" have to start somewhere, Beverly, and the idea, I believe, is to improve with practice...and age.
