Pleas From a Child
Theme: TAKE MY HAND
Title: Pleas from a child
Take my hand and lead me away from this war torn land
To a place where I can be free and build castles in the sand
Take my hand and lead me away from terrifying drones of planes hovering up high
To a place where I can shout at planes to drop chocolates and sweets from the sky
Take my hand and lead me away from where I no longer have to search for breadcrumbs on the ground
To a place with luscious orchards and apples and pears hanging on trees all around
Take my hand and lead me away from dodging stray bullets and bombardments everyday
To a place where I can run free downhill and roll in the hay
Take my hand and lead me away from where schools and hospitals are targeted every day
and the world is turning a blind eye on us
To a place where I can study and ride with friends in the school bus
Take my hand and lead me away from shrapnel and debris which blacken and dirty my face
To a place where I can dress like a princess and win the beauty pageant race
Take my hand and lead me away from the fear of hiding from soldiers in the dark
To a place where ‘til midnight I can dance and skip in the play park
Take my hand and lead me away from manslaughter and massacres I will no longer be seeing
To a place where I can only be a HUMAN BEING
