Pieces
I woke up in pieces
Broken glass
Splinters of the love we had
Your picture on floor
Shattered like before
Lipstick on the mirror
Perfume the on the sheets
A night of perfection
Love made to the hilt
With no malice, with no guilt
I wish you hadn’t cared
Inside of me you cried
And I screamed in the night
The beast we made
And held each other tight
When the end came
You told me I was not to blame
But you had to know
Would I stay?
Or should you go?
Commit I could not
You cried and then we fought
I turned my back
And you walked away
Now I wish you had stayed
