Paw Prints On My Heart

The memories that I have of you Everyday they flood my mind You weren't here to long But long enough to Leave some really deep paw prints on my heart The way that you lived your difficult life How you wanted to be with everyone Laying on the shoulders or laps Cuddling up to my chin The way you were always there when we ate The sound of your soft meow The way you cuddled up with me under the covers It didn't matter All you wanted was someone to hold you all the time No matter where I was you were right there with me Trying to get on me even if I was busy God, took you way to soon Now all I have are these memories They are all in a paw print So now all is left Is a Paw print on my heart It's so deep that it will hurt for the rest of my life
