Those paper airplanes folded neat
thrown in the air to glide, complete
with hidden wishes hoped to meet;
they fly a bit- a short-lived treat.
Our paper airplanes start to fly-
but most times bring an inner sigh.
Aboard, those wishes we hold high-
come crashing down beneath the sky.
Airplanes are strong, the paper's weak;
might never hold the wish we seek.
But we're determined- brave, not meek;
pray gambled outcomes are not bleak.
