Owl Slippers vs Cat

Like any girl, my cat loves shoes. I keep her in mind with the new pairs I buy. She looks in the morning to note what I choose, And then she observes while I zip, fold, or tie. Muddy today, it will likely be boots, And slippers in evening when feet are sore. She tackles the ones that seem the foe that hoots. They're a large owl's head that she hates -I adore. The slippers are now worn beyond flat. I'll buy one more pair of animal fun. Perhaps a Llama or a dog, but not a cat, 'Cause my Dee Dee enjoys being the only one. (a factual poem)

An enjoyable read, dear Hilda. Some cats are simply jealous. They don't want a companion for fear of love and attention being shared. You Dee Dee must be of that type.

This is a most endearing and enjoyable poem. To choose suitable footware for any species can be problematic to say the least. A current of warm humour is the underlying motif here. Excellent. I’m pleased that Source Of Awareness met with your approval Howard

Hilda I have a cat too and I know what you’re talking about? I have had 24 cats in my life so far.. I only have one cat but I’d rather have four, at once. There is nothing like a cat. Poetry and cats somehow seem to go together they serve the soul.. I hope you have a great day.PR

Love strays but not allowed to feed them where I live! Look up on line what strays eat. Fascinating. They love mice! The best protein food for a cat. Strays are resorceful and fend for themselves. They sleep on my deck., too. We put out water for them, only. Huggs, Pangie

As for wanting 3 more cats, I also feed a stray male cat (very beautiful, white with black patches), who disappears from time to time. His kittens are beautiful. Thank you for your comment, fellow cat lady.

Bravo, Hilda! I found immense pleasure in your verses depicting the captivating tales of Dee Dee, as well as your witty contemplation on procuring an additional pair of whimsical animal companions. Perhaps a majestic Llama or a loyal canine, but certainly not a feline counterpart.

Thank you. I've communicated about her poems. She seems to cuddle down when I tell her she got another viewer. We both thank you.
