Owl Slippers vs Cat
Like any girl, my cat loves shoes.
I keep her in mind with the new pairs I buy.
She looks in the morning to note what I choose,
And then she observes while I zip, fold, or tie.
Muddy today, it will likely be boots,
And slippers in evening when feet are sore.
She tackles the ones that seem the foe that hoots.
They're a large owl's head that she hates -I adore.
The slippers are now worn beyond flat.
I'll buy one more pair of animal fun.
Perhaps a Llama or a dog, but not a cat,
'Cause my Dee Dee enjoys being the only one.
