Out of Sync
I missed the morning wake-up call
The clock alarm, I snoozed right through
I missed the bus rolling past the mall,
that was to take me to my job interview
Out of sync,
out of step with time
Not in rhythm,
stuttering on the rhyme
I missed the one working elevator
taking me up to the 44th floor
Then I missed the receptionist,
going out to lunch, headed out the door
Out of sync,
my plans are skipping a beat
Irregular movements,
my life is sailing on rough seas
I missed my meeting with the Creator,
this is one serious faux pau
I missed making the call to my Savior,
how far can one person fall
Out of sync,
feels like I'm walking in mismatch shoes
My sanity's on the brink ...
why is it, I never miss catching the blues
