One Man's Pain
One man's pain...
The clear blue sky, in anguish did cry
As whips of lightening, on her back did crack
Her face did darken, and contort with pain
And pent-up tears, she did spew forth
The sun-drenched earth, did empathize with her ally
Yet, also did long for a cool watery snack
Like diarheal stool, the heavens poured rain
And the earth did drink, all her thirst's worth
The earth, had the tropical sun baked dry
Her tender skin, with many a crack
Her friend's pain, did become her gain
And the drought did end, in a nourished earth
Many a time, we've all asked why?
When we do think; life's a painful soundtrack
But have failed to see, how each time our gain did reign
Another's pain, may have been its true worth
