One Day
One day
dem go talk say sunlight don dey charge our
phones
And "they must be charged for it"
One day
De moon go dey kampe for all night
And the next day, there will be bill for it
One day
dem go time de air wey we dey breathe
And we will pay for Breathing Card to live
One day
de rain go fall yanfu yanfu
And you'll read in the paper that "yesterday rain
was part of our social responsibilities to the
people"
One day
We go look everything well well with our own
korokoro eyes
And we'll get a mail that "your 'look' has
expired, and to look tomorrow, you must
subscribe"
One day
Leaves nor go dey inside bush again
For they will serve as our Messiah from the
diamond-price of cloth
One day
It would become illegal for us to live
And that day, we go fight
One day, we go fight.
