Old Man Tom
Tom with your fine plummage, strutting for the ladies.
Evoking fear in the children's heart, when you flap and threaten to spur.
Pawpaw evokes fear in your heart, when he sharpens the ax before Thanksgiving and
Christmas. You are too old and tough to be eaten, the young ones go to the table/slaughter.
Becoming juicy giblet gravy, basted, roasted, stuffed, succulent...Oh the poem!!...
Lunch break...
