Oh, March

Oh, March, You vagabond of trumpet gales Swirling city trash ‘round tipping cans Tugging At fully outstretched flags Ruffling Robin feathers Jousting with Jonquils Elevating A hungry hawk Howling At the heels of fleeing winter Lest it keep you From a date with spring

I've told you before, I've no wish to enjoy a poem about each month. I arrive, quite adamant and then you keep producing poems to change my mind. Have you thought of the consequences? What if my favourite genre of poetry becomes based on the months of the year?! I'll lose all my street cred, have to start converting people to month based poetry to have my own gang... It's a dangerous game but I keep coming back for more, by mid year I'll have the mid month shakes awaiting the 1st of the month

OK, OK,..... I'll try a few late month, tapering off, poems to tide you over before the first of the month.

Reading this poem excites me to think of so many upcoming events and the accompanying wind. I like this poem. I'll keep a jacket handy for some of the cold winds.
