October Magnificence

On the turning wheel of time the seasons come and go one by one, and I discern them enwrap me seamlessly with the distinct images they bring, painted on nature’s changing canvas, where the unique motifs they etch, indelible on the landscape of my life, I call the mindful meadow of sensitivity. The simmering summer slips away on the sun’s vanishing fiery trail, turning the arid pasture splintered into dry slices of auburn wasteland. In the swathe of whispering woods, where the tinged trees stand shaking, I now hear the chromatic footfall of autumn in these October days. As the gold-plated leaves adorn the latticed splendor of autumn, the tawny tree canopy embraces the sky, glittering at dawn’s sunburst sparkle. Walking charmed on amber garden path I seem to float on the fervent flow of air, rippling in sync with the divine cadence with the rustling leaves as they fall. As the setting sun blazes the edge of sky, makes a surreal collage of celestial panorama, under its crimson radiance I wait transfixed with the enchanted spirit soaring high to greet the grandeur of the stars sprouting in the pellucid autumn night’s crown, I long to be suffused with mesmeric moondust, drizzling the aura of the creator’s magnificence. _______________ October 1, 2021 Contest : October Sponsor : Regina McIntosh

Wow! Congrats! Thanks for sharing this, letting me virtually experience October as you revealed it --- since I live in an "autumnless" country. God bless you.
