Never Ever Ever Ever Expected This
I swear it is raining outside today
Anyway, it feels like it in my bones.
Arthritis has kicked up her heels
Reminding me I am not a spring chicken
Or even a lively old tired worn-out rooster
I am long in the tooth as we loved to say
When we were young and reckless and never ever
ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever
expected to get old.
But old I am and it is raining outside
And my body is yawning
And I want a nap
Which I can now take
Thank god
For I am old
A motorcycle ride?
Okay
Who wants to live forever anyway?
