My Suicide Note

There's a reason The shining of the light has faded dim A never ending nightmare Pictures of the end A morphine face Eyes plucked out Vocal chords snipped away Removed from their once lively place A finger bent Always pointing in the same way It doesn't take much To take a life this way To break the existence Of something already dead Takes thoughts From an empty head The lines drawn crooked But replace them with spots A pain of pleasure To re-tie the knot The prickles of skin Hung out to rot on strings Takes the reason Of many things The broken surface Of the road of life Has caused more than death But fear of light An empty person An empty life Wants to make The emptiness die Written March 24, 2004

Kristan. I sincerely hope this is not your frame of mind...but you say "MY suicide note". My ex-husband took his life last week. I am so angry with him and sorrowful. People need to realize that this irreversable, violent act leaves those behind to suffer immeasurable grief and guilt. Patricia
