My Mediteranean Dream
My Mediterranean Dream
Into your quiet arms and protectful ways, I wish to race.
Across lost decades and never want to be traced.
To settle in Thessalonki, and dance the stars away with thee.
Drinking Mavrodaphne or even plain, fresh lemoneny tea.
In a Taverna, white, with handsome, blue shutters open wide.
To wear a Greek keyed ring and yet never be your bride.
To walk home to our villa when the day is just brand new.
What do you say, my one and only, forever, agapi mu?
He nodded his happy, wavy head in positive consent.
We barefooted down sparklingstones in decadent descent.
