My God, Thank You For Training Me

Key Verse – Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR TRAINING ME
Thank You for training me with Your loving favour
Despite my weakness in finishing an endeavour
For me to strive toward perfection’s fervour
Ever grateful for Your skillful molding savour.
Thank You for training me with Your granted prudence
Despite my innocence when faced with a seeming coincidence
For me to choose permanence in Your perfect will’s residence
Ever dependent on Your wise providence.
Thank You for training me with Your ruling authority
Despite my hard-headedness that’s devoid of humility
For me to obey Your instruction’s certainty
Ever submissive to Your majestic sovereignty.
Thank You for training me with Your preserving knowledge
Despite my education in a secular college
For me to understand Your plan I worshipfully acknowledge
Ever studious by Your offered learning privilege.
Thank You for training me with Your driving grace
Despite my weariness along the Christian race
For me to persevere with Your strength’s brace
Ever ardent through Your encouraging commendation-praise.
Thank You for training me with Your honourable standard
Despite my unworthiness as a called steward
For me to work well although it is rigorously hard
Ever diligent along Your excellent regard.
