My fear

I was afraid, not of the dark, But the obscure nature behind the mask. I was afraid, not of the crowd, But the lacuna of you being one of them. I was afraid, not of losing you, But losing myself in the clouds of blue. I was afraid, not of diving in the depth, But being left alone at the surface. I was afraid, not of hurting you, But of the grief you will face and the mirror I'll hold infront you. I was afraid, not of your absence, But of the oblivion, of the feeling of nothingness. I was afraid, not of the height I was on, But the pain of falling apart. As I was never afraid of you, But in you resided all my fears.
