My Favourite Place

Sitting on our front porch is my favorite place to be Rocking in my comfy chair with a cup of Earl grey tea Some days when I sit quietly, a hummingbird pops by And feeds upon the nectar from my flower pots hanging high It hovers by the purple blooms and samples all it can I marvel at it's tiny wings; they sound just like a fan They truly love petunias, as do the bumble bees I smile and watch contented and enjoy the summer breeze

What a soft, lovely poem, Ann. I could just see you sitting among this beauty, drinking your Earl Grey tea--a beautiful picture. I would love to join you :)

Hi Ann, Yes I love my little porch and you would be most welcome. I didn't mention in this poem... But I do hang a wind chime out there in the summer as I love wind chimes. Glad you enjoyed reading about my favourite place. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Cheers my friend :-)

Thanks Deb. I'm glad you felt the contentment. It's a tiny porch but there's just enough room for two chairs. And on either ends of the deck I hang the flower pots. It's very cosy and relaxing. I'm happy you stopped by. Cheers my friend :-)
