My Faith Keeps My Hope Alive
M-y faith keeps my hope
A-live and burning still;
R-ainy night disappears,
C-louds fade above the hill.
I-n May thirtieth morn,
A-nother dawn starts to shine;
L-ong cold chill has passed, the weather looks so fine.
F-aith keeps my hope alive,
L-etting me be steadfast;
O-nly the trust in the Lord
R-eally makes the pain don't last.
E-ven when I face the test of life that is trial-fraught;
S-till strong in faith I am, no matter what war I've fought.
A-live and burning hope
S-till keeps me faithful;
U-ntil the dark shadows drift,
N-o reason to be doubtful.
C-alling upon God's name
I-s one thing I won't forget;
O-nce I pray to the Lord,
N-ew hope is far from fret.
