Morse Code
I cry for help in Morse Code
But you won’t see it unless you’re listening really hard.
And you won’t hear it unless you’re watching really hard.
You’ll see it when I suddenly stop smiling, or start talking in monosyllables.
You’ll see it when my voice becomes cool and emotionless, or when I’m gazing into space.
Or when I keep hugging you goodbye, and don’t let go, because I don’t want to be alone.
You’ll hear it when my hands start shaking, or my eye starts to twitch.
But if you really search my eyes— I’m really good at lies—but my eyes will tell you why.
You’ll hear it when I withdraw from human touch.
My cry is silent, but you’ll hear it if you’re watching close enough.
