The Lord is my leader, and all life through
I'll follow Him to the Light and the Truth
Beside tranquil sea His presence I'll seek
Walking in His footprints left on the beach.
In quiet moments my thoughts are led to
Whatever the Lord would wish me to do
As long as I'm able, I will contrive
To be benevolent whilst I'm alive.
Though we only live our granted lifetime
We've nothing to fear, for Heaven's divine
The Lord said so, and He prepares a room
For those who repent and are freed from doom.
The Lord leads to water to quench our thirst
He provides food for all dwelling on earth
To those in need we should avail ourselves
Sharing, caring for those with empty shelves.
He leads me to be merciful of heart
To see beauty of His creative art
To inspire the singing of songs of praise
Songs that will set the universe ablaze.
Lead me to glory dear Lord is my plea
I aim to become the image of Thee
One day I may fly to those Pearly Gates
A magnificent day to celebrate.
