Mnemosyne, the Greek Goddess of Memory
What memories lay in days gone by?
We learn from the past, how, when, why
In order to benefit from ‘then’…
We must record it with paper and pen.
History books store events of the past
Always looking back, their stories will last
But what of the present, when you look back?
What do your personal memories lack?
I can only recall a few fragments
I’ve missed so many important events
My sister recalls most of her childhood
I’d recollect mine, if only I could…
Alas, I have such a bad memory,
I think Mnemosyne has forgotten me!
