Missed Beats
There is never anybody to hold me
When I need to be held;
There is never anybody to tell me
When I need to be told;
There is never anybody to teach me
When I need to be taught;
There is never anybody to catch me
When I need to be caught.
There is never anybody to save me
When I need to be saved;
There is never anybody to stop me
When I need to be stopped;
There is never anybody to miss me
When I need to be missed;
There is never anybody to kiss me
When I need to be kissed.
Only the cold and lonely slipstream,
Empty roads which never meet;
Only the endless, awkward shuffle
of continuous missed beats...
