Loving Skin
Though I cannot see their hearts, I choose to love their skin.
I know not what they feel; but through love, let change begin.
Though I cannot know their thoughts, I choose to love their skin.
I know not what they think; but through acceptance, let change begin.
Perhaps I may just ease their pain, as I choose to love their skin.
I don’t know their hurts but through compassion, let change begin.
Perhaps I may just take their plight, as I choose to love their skin.
I don’t know their loss but through giving, let change begin.
I might just change their minds if I choose to love their skin.
I may show a better way, through good deeds, let change begin.
I might just lift my neighbor if I choose to love their skin.
I may show a richer life and through kindness, let change begin.
I will choose to love my brother, since I choose to love their skin.
I will forgive and pray for them, through grace, let change begin.
I will choose to change the world, since I choose to love their skin.
I will give my life to lift mankind, that’s how change begins.
