Lost In Prehistoric Times

before my soul bounced from castles so high to clouds so low and before i adjusted my posture against the tree bark and right before the sweat clogged my face and my heartbeat quickened and before the wind caressed my sun-kissed skin before i sent 100 letters that i swore to strangers i would never send and before the repeats, the rewinds, and the "let's try again" and right before i stood toe to toe with the anxiousness - yet composed here i was. lost in prehistoric times
