Contest: Titanic Farewell
Darkness falls on the doomed ship’s dazzling frame,
Pride and joy of Maiden Voyage destroyed,
The wreck descends into a frigid void
Sinking souls to their deaths of frothy fame.
Like you that’s what I read ‘bout frantic sight,
I learned I was the young whom fate would spare,
No memories of my parents’ despair -
Fortunate star shone on me that chill night.
But if Titanic dragged me down as well
What would my last words to my loved ones be?!
« Let the buried past rest in peace at sea
as dead forever mourned - you live to tell».
