Locked In the Dark

I’ve been locked in the dark, where the demons dwell They swallowed me whole, and showed me hell I’ve been locked in the dark, where the demons smirk They smile through jagged teeth, to carry out the devil’s work I’ve been locked in the dark, where the demons feast They chew rotten toenails, from the deceased I’ve been locked in the dark, and now I’m apart But still I see the demons, and their black hearts

Excellent rhymes in eight lines that expose demons both external + internal. Congratulations on a thoughtful posting. Brian

I usually do not like poems about demons, but I like this one a lot.
