Life of Choices
Let me be a king and not be a tyrant
Let me be an angel, but not an angel of death
Let me live in reflection but never in silence
Let me rise in action until the moment of final rest
Did you ever think you'd be where you are today?
All your life of choices – what to keep and what to throw away
Let me be a helper and not a tormentor
Let me weep with emotion, but not cry in a cowardly trench
Let me sign a treaty but not of surrender
Let me have forgiveness where only fools would fail to repent
Did you ever think you'd be where you are today?
All in a life of choices – when to live and when to pass away
Let me be the kind of man that you married
Let me not whisk away your dreams in a bouquet of deception
Let me be solemn enough to know when I’m happy
Let me hang around with the guests at the end of the Great Reception
Did you ever think you'd be where you are today?
All one road through a life of choices – where to rest and where to drive away
Where to rest and where to drive away
