Life Is Like a Violin's Sound

As the maestro meticulously draws sound from the strings, Feelings and sensations the music brings. A skilled violinist performing with skill, Can lull your heart and make it still. The maestro has a story to tell, And with his violin he tells it well. Quickly rising with a higher pitch, Then fallings again as in a ditch. Bow across strings faster and faster, A building crescendo by the master. Then the soothing of a softer sound, A sense of release the artist has found. It’s much like life with its ups and downs, A revealing balance of smiles and frowns.

You are very right with this wise Sonnet. Very well expressed as a nice music piece played with that violin. Loved it, Bill.

Great and brilliant diction. I think violin is one of my favourite instruments . Although i can only play the piano. And i always think something about violins is so very poetic. Your use of words such as crescendo and maestro etc is so fitting for the theme. And how the melody sometimes rise and fall in such intense vibratos, can truly be compared to the events of life too. Your rhymes her are truly captivating and very unique. And love the flow and depth of the message delivered here. Impeccable write as always

I like all of the string instruments, Ink. I play the piano too. :-) I wasn't ever able to take lessons, my parents said piano lessons were for girls and they could only afford to pay for my sisters. I play by ear and could play her recital pieces the two years she took lessons. I could read music from singing in the choir. Thanks for the thorough comments, Ink. I'll visit your poetry soon, my friend. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill
