Leaves Will Fall
LEAVES WILL FALL
In the old country, autumn’s the name
The season when summer is getting old
A nip in the air and leaves begin to fall
But soon after, the mood changes it all
That splendour of leaves, red and gold
Summer’s end, and nothing is the same
A myriad of colours, against the green
It’s a thoughtful time, as it cools slowly
Nature is preparing for the next season
Emotion has its day, more than reason
As God’s beautiful earth, it feels holy
But take a breath, and absorb the scene
