Laughter

Just as you did yesteryear I wish I could cut you out I now know a life without You doesn't go into high gear I gnawed your flesh away While you demanded a refund On my life it had me stunned Not your angel you say Well my thousand eyes opened To see i came from marred flesh So why expect my hide to be fresh Its leathery but your hope and Strife was felt regardless What could this demon have been If it ever were your kin If you werent so heartless Being who I am is my fault You say you tried and failed That my ship has long sailed And I cannot ask it to halt Left at shore to rip and tear At the skin that brands me Losing my tears in the roiling sea Begging you to spare Me the cruelty of your words Of your look it burns Please it hurts Where is our history Where are the memories The shrill melodies Where is my misery It's gone but left grooves In the mud of my skin Whats left to do but grin As you trample me with hooves As you bite with fangs You always had but deny For no angel in the sky Digs their teeth in lambs Left for slaughter Only sinking into beasts Killing reserved for higher seats And here I die to your laughter Even after you've gone
