Last Things She Said
Sleeping soundly,
In her bed.
Thinking about,
The last things she said.
She said she hated him,
She said she didn’t care.
She said when she was with him,
Life just wasn’t fair.
She said he had hit her,
And he had put her through hell.
She said that he had made her feel like,
She had completely failed.
She said she’s glad it’s over,
And she’s happy they are through.
But now she is out looking,
For someone new.
Someone that will love her,
Someone that will care.
Someone that with whom life’s fair,
And someone who will always be there.
Sleeping soundly,
In her bed.
Thinking about,
The last things she said…
