Intoxicated By Experience
The balloons rise to their feet —
jamming figure-eights, skating
euphorically, confidently-hued,
sunny disposition of a marguerite.
The breathtaking discourse of song —
blooming a bouquet of memories, smile
stimulates his eyes and sparks my pulse,
plausible that the classroom’s where I belong.
The fairytale scene follows me outdoors
in chromatic color, scent of honeysuckle,
flittering of fairy wings and stardust, to my car.
I avoid red light, my intoxicated pedal to the floor.
