Insufficient Love Can Be

When love fills your breath and the air
the feel is strong and you can dare
Love, you tend to glamorise
and in words you aphorise
Dreams of princesses and knights
all is great as you reach heights.

That love is more than enough
tough times you would rise above.

Think about love on the ground
not dreamy ! rather earthbound
What if you fall and be mad
to your soul nothing you add
The shackles of codes and rules 
when unbound, treated as fools
What if in love you lose sight
with a heart of consumed light
Who you think  the one on earth
may reject the soul Self worth.

That love is just not enough
rough times you won’t rise above.

Get ready to set the Self free
insufficient love can be.

A love that shows little or no true concern from the other party is shallow, and dark-- as it is a selfish greed disguised as love. Such always leads to disaster. Had I clung to my romantic notions of what it means to meet and marry my true love I'd be divorced by now. I learned early on that being in a healthy relationship is nothing like what I learned from the movies and other external influences.
