Inevitable Journey

Inevitable Journey. Every hour is a moment. A piece of history Your history, your story Nobody wants to take your place. Be in your shoes. As the sun rises and disappears Like an egg timer The sand trickles through Ebbs away, the seconds Until the bottom is full The end arrives. Inevitable journey. Like birth, no one can resist. Or fight, refuse, not go Inevitable conclusion From the day we arrive Goodbye old friend. Nothing to forgive or forget Never a cross word No adjectives or condolence works. I hope there’s a light. Somewhere better than this Take care my friend. The pleasure was all mine. Bon voyage! David Cox 21/05/24

I'm not sure, but he deserves the light. I've known him for fifty years. Thank you for reading and your comment. Dave
