Indianapolis

Indianapolis Look around What is it that you see? Is it the different under tones of grey hues coming from the tall cement and steel that towers around you or the numerous people who are numb to the fact that you even exist walking through their lives not even to bother to raise heads as you walk past or is it the sky that can barely strain itself around the corner as if it’s trying to grasp you to give you fresh air because honestly, sometimes here, it’s hard to make your chest rise and fall or looking around are you the golden one who sees everything differently? do you notice the washed out stones but see them as soft and soothing and do you see the subtle exposed brick exposing a flame of warmth and comfort inside or the pastel lettering branded above architecture that glistens when the sun sleeps and the stars are shining from windows of shops and apartments do you see the people indulging in the simplicity that happiness can be made into sipping on a latte, smoking a cigarette, inspiring just by being it takes time but if you listen to the secrets within the city you will find that we all look around and see both we see the greys and feel our breaths fading away, but we also see the beauty and the differences in every block that act as a natural muse Broad Ripple, Mass Ave, Fountain Square each with its own personality and people who mimic it once you have found the stomping grounds to plant your feet the River White that runs through the veins of the city will eventually run through to your heart in this city that inspires and makes beauty out of the littlest thing and if you leave you will see words do not flow and paintings do not paint you’ll lose the touch cause you chose to leave behind The city of whoever it is that you want be
