dedicated to the homeless:
People sleeping in rail cars
People sleeping in chairs
Anyone who is not anyone is splitting their hairs
Every one of them
Are in my prayers
Sleeping in cars sleeping on floors
Breaking some heads and kicking down doors
People in uniforms
Are not uniformed
If they don’t care then what are they all here for?
People in pain can’t sleep
People in pain just stare
Every one of them
Are in my prayers
We have seen this all before
We know Thiers going to be more
Masters building their empires building their wars
Counting their virgins
And beating their whores
The howling dogs of war, I will pray for
An old man is too old for fighting
And fighting is getting old
And to many people outside getting sick getting cold
And soon becomes the misery
As souls inside disappear
Those who have become so empty
Are in my prayers,
The Trump card has been called, calling for sessions calling for creeds
sucking down moonshine
out stepping on weeds
the powerful are happy their getting their way
crushing the poor
Whose needs are taking away
that is the reason
we all must pray
